Melville, WA

Fanatic Falcon, 5.5 EVOiii, 30 falcon then 30 F.O. Weedie

i had to put the 25 knot rule into effect today as despite the rehab it was too tempting... fastest 10 sec was 36.2

Isonic 87, reflex 3 6.2 and 7.0. Vector alpha 33     Melville Beach

if only you could smoke all the weed that was out there :(

All speeds were through the chop upwind of the corner and heading towards kite beach , bit more exciting than catching weed in the corner :)

Melville Beach, WA, AU

fun arvo trying out some new second hand gear)

evo2 5.5/jp speed 54/lockwood curtis 26-mistral 47 and carbon thing

absolutley loved the jp54 and also the mistral 47

and also stoked to give the new lockwood 26 a workout in some chop

awesome fin!

found the going tough with more wind than i could handle most of the time

on what was a pourly rigged 5.5... i am finding it difficult to dial in gear we only get

to use once a bluemoon or 2.

still good to get some sailing in...4th day in a row...big difference from less than 24hrs earlier

when i was pumping a 10.7 on a formula on to the plane!!

Melville... skipped out of work early to get there and see it honking. So I rigged the 5.0m e4 proto and Mistral speed 47. As soon as I put my wetsuit on the wind dropped 5-10kts. Spent the next hour or more waiting and barely planing looking for gusts. There were a couple of squalls but the rain was so full on it was too painful to sail. Went in and rigged the 6.4m and Mistral speed 55. That was better. Then the wind came in and it was strooooong. Was out the back for the best gusts doing crazy downwinders with istaaaaack, shane and steve m. The algal snot got worse as the storm surge kicked in, until it wasnt safe to go near the sand bar. No weed fin :( The wind booted later so did a couple of runs on the 5.0 again, but the storm surge and lack of access to the shallower water made the run a cross-chop nightmare. Good for another 38 before I got sensible and came in. Then it pissed down good. Went out again on sunset to wash off the 6.4m and had a chat to fudge before heading home... hopefully a warmup for tomorrow!

Melville Beach, Iso 90, 6.2 RIII, 34 GW

certainly not the best day to ease myself back into it after close to three months off,

had several breaks to let forearms recuperate .
