4489 days ago Great afternoon at Queens Lake. Wind was gusty at 5-18 knots from the Nw at first,so sailed the middle of the lake in some crazy chop,so it wasnt looking good for any good speeds. But luckily the wind swung to the west at 20-25 knots, so headed down to the usual spot at the eastern end of the lake, and found plenty of fairly flat water.Great fun and happy with the speeds today.
Used F2 sx medium, Gaastra 6.5m gtx, Jp 31cm weedy.

4.7 KA Predator, 265 85lt BIC Saxo, 25cm select wave fin.
WNW-WSW between 15 and 35 kts, weedy and bumpy, hard to settle down and get a good speed but some good chop to jump off

What a day!Got there at about 1.00pm with a nice steady 15-20k NW -WNW wind, and looking nice. Went out with a 6.5and SL104, BP34 weedie and then the wind eased right off.Took my time getting out and then the wind came back in gust by gust and building while turning more westerly.Managed a few nice runs but a bit too choppy and high tide to get anything better.
Copped a huge gust and destroyed my Chinook boom when I collected it.Not preterbed, got a great screamer down the lake and a few more runs as the wind went mental, turning W-WSW with gusts to about 25k + K.
Re-rigged with the 4.7 Poison and Hawk 93ltd with Curtis 25.6 wave fin joining the others in a bit of bump and jump.A couple of 29knot peaks with the 4.7 was surprising too.
Good crowd today. Peter, Chris Aza, Rob,Matt, Bill and Anton and blow-in Pugsey.Had enough after some powered runs and a few not so powered. The boys and girls still out there and the wind ramped up to 28k onshore, so it was probably gusts at 30 + knots and they had to wait out the worst of it. A very challenging day.

4488 days ago Wallis Lake, NSW, AU. Very challenging sail - not much to start with so rigged a 5.5 and had some nice gusts. Then it hammered in - not much fun so rigged down to a 4.5 and still overpowered. Real survival sailing. Used my Carbon Art 93 for the second session and had a good time on it when it eased off a bit, but 30 - 35 knots was a bit of a handful. Need a smaller board I think. Much better fun on the smaller gear.
