Mark Jordan's Speed Run - Town Green, Port Macquarie, NSW, AU

HMAS Falcon 113, 7.8 RS:S, 40cm Meanline

Sailed with Mark and Dion. Short arvo sesh taking advantage of the low tide and exposed sandbank. OK, this run is a blast, it is short, but so flat and so sweet. Was about 12kn with some slightly bigger gusts at times, enough to be powered and in straps hauling my 92kg ass along, but prob 5kn off being fully lit and in PB territory. Fkg blast though, thanks MJ for the encouragement to come down - it was worth the run for sure.

So much potential here - in a big NE it would be cooking!!! Mark said that it runs like sandy pt, but sandy point much longer of course (300m vs 2klm)- damn the SP trip cant come soon enough. Last week of Oct + first week of Nov if anyone wants to come. Gabe and a couple of the southerm marauders are coming and nicole is hopefully coming too. Gabe I will give you a call, am happy to run with those dates you have recommended.

MarkJ and Dion you were cooking today. MArk Js new boards look sensational on the water. Over and out

Booti Booti, NSW, AU

Eratic wind today, stronger close to shore. ISonic 107, 6.5m2, New Black Project 34.

Booti Booti, NSW, AU. Very shifty N/NE 10 -20 knots, more on than off most of the time. Gusts very nice and fully powered on my 6M GTX. The shortest runs I have ever done at the point as it was all very inshore. Good fun with friends, but oh for a steady NE wind.

Booti Boot iPoint, NSW, AU.Wind took its time getting up. Nothing until about 1.00pm. Got excited as it started to build, and rigged too small. 5.5 vapour and Hawk 93 limited. Managed 27k before I decided to rig realistically! 6.5 GTX and SL104, BP 38 weedie. Wind a NNE 15- 20k.

Got my SL104 back from Glen today. Got the VIP repair. So Quick and a nice job too.Turned out It's what I needed today.

Sounds like The wind did the same to everyone today.Just needed that extra few knots! That post- frontal trough turned into a pre- frontal trough and killed the wind too soon. All in all, it was still a good sail. The water was magically flat again and not too much weed inside. Good crowd. Chris, Rob, Andre, Ads , Bill and Anton on water today.

AJ,We're getting amped for Sandy Point too. Just hope we snag some wind. At this stage havn't seen Aza, I don't think he'll make it. I'll check with him soon.

Meantime great PB's Pugs!! Well done mate! Your not too shabby either AJ. Good looking speed guys. GO MARAUDERS!!

Mark J,  those boards look the business. Good to see Marie putting in a post too.Roll on Summer!

Town Green, Port Macquarie, NSW, AU. JP sl92, overdrive 6.7, f2 34cm,  Had a quick sail with Mark J and Adam. Was great fun and water was flat as sandbar exposed. Wind a little on the light side, another 5-10kts would have been great. Adam and Mark both getting some great runs. This spot has so much potential. Bring on the summer North easters.

Nice!! We feel the same way about Booti. I regret not taking a few pics today. You would have loved it. Next decent Nor/Easter after Sandy and you'll have to come down with a few of you Northerly Marauders in tow!Wink

Gabe, these pics were at the very end of the session when the sandbar started going under with the incoming tide and it started to get small chop - man it was super flat when the bank was exposed.....not glassy, but super duper flat.......nice to have a fun flatwater spot 3 minutes drive from work
