Sav (808km): Swan Bay, VIC, AU Long runs on a westerly, best day I've had at swan bay. rocket 105, saber 5.7, 32cm fin
Moondo (1109km): Sandy Point, Vic, AU Really challenging day at The Pit. Way too much westerly. Just could not get the JP to work. 2 Sec peak for JP was only 24knots. I put it away in frustration and stupidly decided "One more run" on the 118 Tecno. 42 fin. Happy with the 2 Sec, I headed back towards the carpark, hit a centre sanbar and dislocated my left shoulder. Kato come over to lend assistance but all I could do was try to "persuade" it back in. Got it in and had to sail back to the strip and walk back. Had to wear wetsuit all the way home and drive manual car as well. Hospital emergency for xrays. No beak but off the water for at least 4-6 weeks.
Drift (5307km): LOCATION: SWAN BAY WIND: W- 20-25 KTS TIDE: HIGH GEAR: CA FR 63, Makani Hahalua 28cm weedie, KA Koyote 5.9 DETAILS: Great Grand Final session at Swan Bay. The high tide meant you could run straight out and just keep going...for miles..had a few patches where I come of the plane which meant I stuck in the mud, but the long runs on super smooth water more than made up for it.
Naz (2410km): Swan Bay, VIC, AU 79 DaCurve, 4.7 Kult, 20.5MFC. Great wind and still got to see some of the Footy Final http://www.ka72.com/viewge.aspx?fid=32647&tid=0 Couple walks of shame until I figured how to get a 20 cm fin to go upwind |
