Annie (6911km): 6.5M T4, 94Lt Exocet & FW Weedie I don't ordinarily wake up properly until after my second caffeine shot but this morning was different. Consequently, not thinking straight, I rigged too big (7M to start with). On the water at Majestic by 7am. I was sailing with the brakes on the whole time & not having fun so thought I would rig the 6M - Nelson tells me it's not in the van (maybe we need to buy a more spacious van ). Never mind, soldier on I must. I rigged the 6.5M, lifted my skirt, found some balls & went for it (I knew time was limited). I was still very overpowered but had a fairly good sail.

Nelson (14146km): Exocet Cross 104 with 7.5M T-bird & 38 Vector Overpowered in the gusts so grabbed the 7.0M T-bird Could have got away with a 6.5M & a smaller board as the wind was building & the lumps were getting bigger Nursed a broken harness line on Port tack for the whole session, the PVC tube held up pretty well Pity some of us have to go to work | ||||||||||||||||||
Cheryl (5453km): Majestic Point, WA, AU, tabou rocket 95L, KA 5.8 then 4.9, 32 goldwing fin great for the first half hour then the wind picked up. Rigged down to a 4.9 but still overpowered and the chop was pretty big. Hoping to get out again this afternoon. |
