Melville Beach, ISO107, OD7.5, FO42.

Great time at the river with Obi and Co. Early start. Down there at 9. Just the 2 of us for a couple of hours till all the sleepy heads arrived.

Wind started to build after about an hour, made for good gybe practise.

Kept searching for that 1 good gust but never in the right place at the right time. Still happy with the 2sec and Pb 5x10. Smile

Lots of crew arrived after Obi left so tried to chase Troutty around for a bit but he left me behind.

Wind eased off as rain arrived so after getting cold and wet called it a day. All packed up and sitting in the car nice and warm and breeze returned with a vengance, saw about 6 sails get smacked to the water. was glad I wasn't one of them.

Good to see lots of Wannabees out and catch up with them all. Must mean summer is close.Cool

First fun little blat since Feb, spare time and (supposed) wind meet.

Didn't live up to weather bureau forecast with only a couple of decent gusts, leaving me standing for bulk time.

Rigged for what was expected, not what was there, although it did drop right off as soon as i got in. Yell

Wind was in nicely before leaving home so took the 7.0 out - that would have been ideal.

Nice to see Terry and Toby

I hadn't sailed this combo before, but it worked really well.  Great to be out on the water. Lots of familiar faces,

An enjoyable sail (I was off the water before the rain hit and wind dropped). A little bit light at times but still kept on the plane, comfortable when the gusts came through but not enough in them to push the pb boundary. Hopefully more of the same sometime soon.

Nice job Raygun. Unusual for the 5X to be so close to the 2 sec. Must have been some very consistent runs. 30kn 5X not far off now!

Nice one team

That has to be the biggest team sail since it was warm last season....great stuff , Pb and all.( Go raygun!!!)

So jelous and soooooooooooo keen to get out there

Sorry I was not there to add to the totals!!!

My horrendous year of injury has continued. After slicing my foot to the bone on the back of a weed fin in January and spending 3 weeks on crutches and months getting over it I managed to have a major knee injury 3 months ago .

Ski trip to NZ, first day on the slopes and bang, ruptured medial ligament and other assorted damage. Looked real bad at first but have avoided a full knee reconstruction. After a shitload of rehab I am finally able to walk almost normally and the strength is coming back thank god.

Maybe back on the water withinn a month or so!!!!

Anyone know of a good knee brace that will actually work for sailboarding??

Slappa, sorry to hear about the injury dramas!Surprised

Speak to Bertie about knee braces. I guess your captain will have his contact or PM me on seabreeze and I can send it to you.
