First outing at Leighton since the heli photo shoot.

Not really enough wind for the 6.3 but fun in the sun with JJ, Recycle and the Slow one.

Beautiful sail at Leighton - the wind was a bit light but the water was warm and clear.

Good fun with the gang - Norts, Lao and Slowy.

Peli Point with Greg, Troutty and Claude later. Fun sesh trying out the I-know-this-shouldnt-work combo 81L iso, 32 GW and 7.0 Ram F13. Sweet session but pretty under boarded most of the time. Had some great drags with Troutty who was smoking me today on his 107!! Surprised Nice to get a few almost powered runs with this odd combo - which somehow works alright in todays patchy stuff. Fun in the sun CoolCool

Enjoyable after work sesh at Peli.

Got down there 4ish.  It looked fresh, but nowhere near the forecast 20-25K, so I opted to go large....135 Patrik + 8.4 TR8 + 46 Sting.

Hit the water @ 4.30 and thought I might have a crack at an hour and worked my way upwind for the next 45 minutes.  Probably blew my chances of a good hour there and then, cos despite having the luxury of some room to bear away, I ran out of wind Yell

Breeze crapped out around 45 minutes in and I was basically slogging for the last 15 minutes.  Disappointing cos it was shaping up as a solid hour.  I'd dropped a couple of gybes, and slogged away from a few more, so it wasn't gonna be epic, but speed across the wind was good so I'd hazard a 20 something.  Oh well it was a bloody good workout. Cool

I reckon this is a good combo for the hour in a normal seabreeze on the Swan, so I'll definitely try again this season.

Great arvo sail. Some great flat bits north of Peli Point. Heaps of people out having fun on a weekday.

Nice Hr and alpha, Snakey!

Great attempt, Pointy! Shame about the wind!

3 of us on near identical speeds on kit ranging from 81 - 90L and sail size from 6.3 - 7m. Must be the fin that defines speed!Wink

I think I'll ask for a workstation away from a window.

It was depressing to watch so many sails smoking accross the river, and be stuck at work. Frown
