Hardie (20239km): wa speed gear fun sesh with the mob
Decrepit (22059km): Tried for an hour, but didn't have enough faith in the wind to go for long runs, missed several gybes and fell in a few holes, hope we get another chance to do better. Used the 6.0 with the 53 and 25.5 Nice to see Bugs and B there as well as Barry Sorenson.
Elmo (15665km): Tabou Thunder 80cm, NP RSR Eiii 8.6m, JP Elmo +10° 46cm, JP Weed 42cm. Got all my chores done this morning being a good little muppet. Got down the run to see a few of the usual villains rigging, the task for today was 1hr's, figured I'd rigg for the lull's as they normally kill me. whilst I was rigging the wind kept on building and a squall was about to hit, thought I wwas heading for a spanking and a short session. It actually turned out ok with the +10 pointer doing it's thing, til at the 15min mark the wind died. Sat around for about 5 mins and then gave it another go, this time it was a go'er, whole lotta fun, would have been beter if I didn't stall most of my gybes on exit. Kept depth checking the fin at the sandbar out from the rock garden, about 15 mins from the end of the hour the fin starts feeling a bit squirrelly (bloody squirrels) put up with it and keep plugging away, finished the hour touched the fin on the sandbar and then stopped to discover the fin had snapped at the base, been sailing for the last 15mins with the fin half sheared of with the finall straw breaking it altogether when I touched down. Best speed for the hour was a mid 28. Figured I deserved a bit of a play so I plugged the 42 weedy in and went for a fang, so close to a large board PB with My old 76 slalom board having a PB of 32.96 on it, this wee puppies a poofteeth away from it. Came in at the end of the session, only to get tempted by another squall which came in to give it another tickle, no improvement in top speed but a couple of nice blatts. Stroppo was heading out on "one" last run as I was heading back, unfortunately the wid died when I got back and caught the Strop fella on the other side of the channel, Hung around waiting for the Strop to meander back with a LONG walk, drag chug of shame. But he did get back with a smile on and the peak speeds of the day. Good times
