Trojan (732km): Illawong Beach Mackay, QLD, AU Morning sail on the back end of the falling tide, on a rising wind. Started off underpowered with 6.4 KA Kult and old 155 x 85 Formula board, was about to change up to a 7.5 then the wind started kicking in and by the end it was fully lit. Fun sailing, but took the soft option and missed the 25kNt afternoon surf sail due to a recent knee injury playing up. 2 Sailboarders and 32 kitesurfers out. Must be a new record.
Freddy Burke (4387km): Holloways Beach, QLD, AU Sailed with Paul today. He has sailed with the legends at Kurrimine and said to say hello and asked when you will be back. JP 126 switchblade 7.3
Sausage (12509km): iS97, 7.0 Blade, 37 KA Sl - Lammermoor Beach, QLD, AU SE 15 -25kn Felt a bit off today and couldn't really get into the swing of things. Too much sail and board for the first half hour so punched it up the south end of beach whereby my harness hook snapped. Downwind run back home to get spare spent my arms somewhat. Was going to rig the 6.3 but just couldn't be bothered and thankfully the wind backed off slightly. Pretty pleased with my Nm and 5x10 all things considered. Hop eI feel better tomorrow as wind still around.
Pacman (747km): Melville Beach, WA, AU Another nice day at melville beach. Few guys out but the main bunch were not there.... must have been another good spot perhaps Point walter... oh well will learn these things. 7m Stealth, 115 isonic, 34 talon and a smile |
