4421 days ago Lake Tinaroo, QLD, AU First session back on dam for about 5 weeks. Pitifull wind at first and took a while to step on board. Only rigged a 5.9m Loft 02 and for a while I thought I would not get a planing run, then some wind came out of nowhere and we both had a enjoyable session. 116l Screamer and SL7 37.

4421 days ago Lake Tinaroo, QLD, AU Hans was already rigged and raring to go nwhen we arrived at dam. Thought the wind might pick up so rigged my old 7.0m NP Package Tape and used the new JP 78. Just dogged about for a while then the wind kicked in and things were good. The wind dropped, so we came in and then it started to rain for a while. (This area is extremely dry, so we are not whinging).

Great day on the lake.......good lot of NE winds fairly constant and a good lot of pain going to starboard..... cruising going to port.
Next couple of days will see if I can still do one of those things they call an Alpha.
Jefro gave me an Izzy 6.5 to try, 129l screamer and a 39 fin.

4421 days ago Port Douglas, QLD, AU Port News..By 2 oclock most people in port were in a coma due to all the 'eclipse celebrations',That was a good enough excuse to down tools and go sailing..Hit the beach running at 3 oclock carrying a fully powered up Falcon with big wings on..The water was flat and wind was pumping at about 14,15kts..did a quick tune up lap,and went in to cruise mode for a very enjoyable afternoon session blasting to the horizon and back..A couple of intoxicated locals were out sailing a very fast 18ft cat, when i came blasting up behind them they cranked it hard and tried to give me race ,all was good for a while, we had big grins on our faces. Then shit hit the fan and it did the biggest cart wheel you would ever see..Bodies went flying and it all looked very untidey.I pulled up to asses the damage the main damage was 'bruised egoes.'.I tired my rig to it and helped them get it upright again which wasn't easy..They didn't want to play any more after that so they packed up there toy and went home ,I kept blasting till the sun went down..A nice ride for a wednesday arvo..101 Falcon 7.3m Stype north sail, biggest fin i could find 40cm s10..Cheers Ed..

Lots of people out enjoying the sea breeze this arvo, really felt like summer; so much fun! Was great to use the 6.6, feels so light and small after the big gear. First time using it on a different mast I got a while ago, KA 55% bottom and 75% top. Had been using it on a very old powerex 30%. Sets so much better. Might have to save the pennies and get a KA mast for the 7.5 too, been using that with a Naish.
Koncept 6.6
