iS97, 7.0 Blade, 37 KA Sl - Lammermoor Beach, QLD, AU NNE 23 - 27kn

Too much of everything this afternoon; wind, board, sail and water state.  Seabreeze kept building and building - initially I got the 7.8 out but rechecked the BOM which had it at 20 - 24kn but by the time I hit the water with the 7.0 it was just going off.  Hairy sailing conditions and got winded slapping into a wave turning back upwind off a broad reach over at the main beach.  Haven't done that for a long while.  One positive though - no troubles pointing upwind being overpowered.

second last sail Lake Cootharaba, QLD, AU

2:30 and the wind came in.....wasn't holding out much hope, so I rigged a 7.5 m sail and let Paul use my 145 L instead of his 88 L....that worked, in it came!

10 to twelve knots on the Western side and 20 knots on the Eastern side.... 10 or so sailors taking advantage of the wind. I'm rigged with an f....Strongbow and drugs are not going to work tonight and with a bit of luck the same "fun" tomorrowLaughing

Yer Bobs got a good point, being over powered going hard up wind is ok, but bloody scary doing a down winder...Sounds to me snags that you did well to survive..carrying 7m sail in 25kt, Thats when things start to break, like masts, booms and body parts...Good speed too, i'm jealous..Hey Bob more strongbow and more drugs and keep sailing, sounds like a good combo..might try it my self....

Hoppy, At this rate you'll be at Luderitz next year mixing it up with AA - congrats on another impressive PB mate.

PS - Believe you me, going broad today was one of those hold on tight and hope it doesn't come unstuck kind of moments.
