The plan was to give Feilixstowe ago this morning as the tide was low and perhaps try Southend tomorrow. So got to The Dip before ten some kiters had been out since sunrise !!!, the wind seemed fairly light so rigged 7.5 , then David Coles arrived and set up 10m and took out his formula kit !!! It was good to start with the sun out and the wind onshore you could reach to the Deben rivermouth and gybe in fairly flat water and return to the dip running down the nice waves even if a bit under powered :( Then the wind increased for awhile and you could sail straight out to sea in a horrendous chop - very very bumpy and no fun at all :( it was while reaching back to shore that my board suddenly came to a grinding holt and I went off the front and nearly broke the front foot off my poor old 37kt Xantos :(  The wind dropped again and the sea calmed down and I had a few more runs but the wind was down and I was getting cold. So thats one board last at sea and another for the dump in the last couple of months and ebay has let me down with nothing suitable and cheap at the moment :( As for tomorrow can't face the early drive and long walk to sail in the cold at Southend, so will stay local - oh for some decent sailing near Felixstowe !!!

Nice to get out after a long spell off the water. Windy today - onshore so a decent chop but nicely organised. Good blasting but want to get out on speed kit after watching the daily Luderitz updates (amazing performances).
