Put the buoy on the other side of the lake for the outer rounding mark for the race on Saturday. It was fun trying to sail across boggy with a block of concrete sitting on your board and dragging a buoy behind you. However was good when I got it in place wanted to test that the run was possible. It feels that the wind is slightly deflected as you get near the reeds so you aim well above the buoy to make it round. It was fun gybing round something think it improved my gybes mind you most were crap!Frown

Tricky it is not my buoy it was one the marine guys put down to mark the fence posts they said they cost $500 each! looked like a bucket was filled with concrete to me.  They had stayed in place for over a year until I moved them (no need for them to mark the fence post as I removed the fence posts). fingers crossed the outer buoy near the reeds is still there on Saturday.
