Queens Lake, NSW, AU Finally some good timing! Drove to Queens in a 5 knot westerly, unloaded the car then 15 knots of s-e rolls in. Sailed for 2.5 hours and the wind stoped just as I decide to head in -sweet. Got to give the new board a good run, and what a beast it is! Effortless on the plan and takes off like a scladed cat. Having troubles handling the speed from crawl to planing, but towards the end of the session could bite my way up-wind fairly well and not crash when looking for the rear straps. Totally different board to ride than the FSW! Amazingly slippery and so stable and bullet like. Surely will hit 30 plus knots next session- fingers crossed! And just think, I'm only 11 knots slower then the girl who previously owned it...EmbarassedSmile ..lol

PS- Headed up towards the mud bank and spotted a fair sized post sticking out of the water. It's pretty solid, probably 4" by 4" and sticking up about 10 inches. Same size post as in the pic below, just not as high out. If Mark can up-load my tracks I'll try to describe where it is. It may no even be where you guys do your runs.

PS- Pic of board is not from todays session.

Nice Southerly wind edging west. Choppy. 18-20knots. Went out on a 7.8 and quickly changed to 6.5m2. More stable. at 17:15, the wind just died and we made our way slowly but surely back to the shore. Bill and Anton also windsurfing. They had been going at it for two hours when I arrived. Very pleasant afternoon and good company.

Hi Phil, That Post is a Marker for the edge of the mud bank. Been there for years. When it is high tide it only sticks out of the water by about 4". Later when I get time I'm going to put makers on the ends of the mud bank so everybody knows where it is.

Awesome , PB's It Makes a big difference when you have the right gear! Well-Done Phil!!!

Maaaate kickin arse there Phil! Pity my meeting went on for ages otherwise I would have witnessed your PB runs. Another couple of goes tuning your gear and you'll have it dialled. I've got a clean day tomorrow and will give the gut a run, I'll see if making harness adjustments will work, I really need to pad the front. Gotta sort this before the weekend.

Thanks Mark H, Adam and the sms from Mark J. Stoked with the new gear, feel so light and quick. A few more runs and I'll have a bit  more control of it. Got a bit loose out there a few times!

Mark H. I can hunt up some bouys and paint 'em flame orange if you want to set up 2 or 3 along the mud edge? I'm sure Raf wouldn't mind doing a run with me in his boat.

Cheers Raf! You would of had a ball out there. Good luck tomorrow. Don't push your guts too hard- early days still. Catch ya.

Cheers Speedy NicSmile  I had to Google Allison to see who she was...such is my windsurfing knowledgeEmbarassed Needless to say she is nice and friendly and sails amazingly- unlike the gumby who bought her board...lol Now, more TOW is in order! 30 knots, 30 knots, 30 knots!
