Queens Lake, NSW, AU Fun sesh at Queens with Raf and later on Steve. Very gusty westerly anything from 5-18 knots but bath wam aqnd fun as powering across the lake on the new gear. Still amazed at the take off speed. From chugging to 20 plus knots in meters. Still battling a bit with the rear straps, such a low, wide position compared to the FSW baord, but will have it sorted in a few trips I guess. Had some mad runs right across the lake, and pulled off 70 percent of gybes, so stoked with all that. Raf was up and skidding along also. Great to see him back on the water!

What a day ! Strong gusty westerly playing the yoyo. Dramatic Bushfire in the background (Bill, hope all is OK at home !). Mother earth seemed keen to unleash all the elements onto us. Enjoyed riding the small ISonic 85Ltrs but need more work to get it going at its full potential, Need more leassons from the professionals. This Saturday could be a good opportunity !

What started out as a gusty 15 -20k W wind gradually strenghtened to about 15-28k WSW to W wind.Re rigged after taking the 6.0 GTX and Hawk 93 and Finworks10.5 for a blast.Needed to rig down to a Vapor 5.5 and SL79 and Vector 27 Weedspeed.Even then it was quite strong on the gusts.Plenty of weed in the water today and was mega choppy, so happy with the speed in the chop.

Good to see all the Marauders out there today and also a blow in from WA.We had a bushfire out west of the lake with this wind and was awesome to watch covering the sky. Made the water very eerie to sail on and looked like heading towards some house out there.Great day on water despite the forecast for a SW to south wind!

GO MARAUDERS!!

Queens Lake. Nice westerly at 15-18 knots for the first 30 minutes, then died fairly quickly and went Se.

Everyone had left and had the place to myself. Isonic, 7m North IQ, went faster than I thought I did.

AB 54, PB 28 weed fin, 5.5 Vapor.  Gusty Westerly 10 - 25kts, very weedy and bumpy for good speeds.  A good crowd out today but Bill and Ela had to leave early because of a serious bush fire out their way.

First sailing session in anything over 12kts in over 6 months. Unfortunately nothing was coming together for me, gusty conditions didn't help, need more TOW in bigger wind and I'll be OK. Bit of bad luck and had a half catapult and slammed ribs first into the mast, it's now causing me some bother, hope it will be OK by the weekend.

Phil was sailing well for the conditions and got the best of the day, you're getting things wired mate and looking fast.

Congrats on your PBs Phil. 5x10 is very important as it shows your consistencey in the conditions. What is awesome to see is that there is less than 1.5kn diff from your 2sec peak and 5x10 - that is VERY, VERY consistent - WELL DONE!!!!!!!!!

You will get used to the straps way out on the edge with the back and front - it took me about 10 sails to ease into it from sailing wave and freestyle boards. You will get it, and then with a nice 15-20kn breeze the 30+kn will start rolling in.

Awesome Pictures Gabe & Matthew! They said on the radio that the Highway was closed due to the smoke hazzard. There was another fire like that South of Kempsey which you could see the smoke from Port.

Thanks Guys ! The ISonic 85 Ltrs does feel like a rocket but needs mastering !! The 30knots barrier still look elusive but will get there one day for sure. Just fine-tuning , one step at a time! Well done Phil for your PBs and Misy for the distance (3 times the radius of the world ! Unbelievable !!! There should be a long distance marathon kind of event for you, you would surely win it). Gabe/Matt, pictures look unreal. More like a volcano eruption actually than a bushfire. Apparently no properties damage from the fire which is reassuring.

It's all good. The fire came withen 500m from our place then the southerly change came and stoped advancing on us.

Good day windsurfing had my real first long air time jumps.
