Larko (3629km): Narrabeen Lake, NSW, AU Strewth, where did that come from??? Decided to finish at my temp job yesterday just in case we got some wind today. Didnt seem to be much wind around but turned up to 15-18 knots so started to rig the7.8. Then it picked up sligtly so rigged the 7.0 instead. usual gusty WSW so used a floatier board which helped me get back several times after the wind swung dramatically. Spent a bit of time swimming and waiting. No chance of an Alpha today, just too off and on. Ended up sailing by myself and had some good runs under Pipeclay Pt. Then it really picked up and was smashing through 2 foot chop upwind then bearing off when the water state improved. Then I got a couple of sweet gusts that coincided with the big bearaway under the point and I went for a ride. Felt nice to wind the old girl up and the 7 was solid as usual. It got too much in the end so I came in to change boards but the wind went more S and was crap. eyes like piss holes in the snow and skin like a crocodile, gotta love warm summer westerlies.
