Hardie (20239km): Ordinary sail, rigged wrong again!!!!!!!!
Adam (7212km): Safety Bay, WA, AU RS Racing Evo V 7.0 Futura 101, Vector 32 cm weedy, Lessacher Chamelion 28cm Great fun session at Safety Bay, spent a bit of time getting the sail dialled in and am very happy with how it goes. Started doing a few runs outside the pond as the run was a bit shallow and all the weed stirred up by the storm and the NW the other day were clumped on the shallow spots. did one half hearted attempt at a Naughty but the washing machine defeated me through the middle of the run so the peak at the bottom was not counted. Very stoked with the alpha, the new Futura is a gybing machine
Mitch (1711km): nice sail this afternoon thanks to dad pushing me to go faster safety Bay, WA, AU
Craw (3644km): 7.0 rss,69 jp ss,34 weed fin nice outing at safetybay staying way upwind of the pond (pong!)
Rod (2664km): nice afternoon sail with a few laughs thrown in from mitch Safety Bay, WA, AU
Elmo (15665km): Tabou Thunder 70cm, NP RSR Eiii 7.0m, JP Weed 31, 36cm Started the day with my neck firing of like a Tesler experiment, went to go work out in the shed to make up a jig to convert US box fins to Slot box, checked my phone @ 9am found one of my customers needed my services 5 hours later.... Wind was blowing so venture down to the run to see some of the usual villains, wind looks ok and is supposed to pick up to around 20 so rigged what I thought would be a good combo. Hit the water and found that I was wearing rose coloured glasses, the wind was GAF with some big holes, couldn't get the board ballanced with the gustiness and holes behind the gusts, was starting to rattle my teeth slapping around, kept spinning out the fin with the sudden overloads when I hit the holes. After enough frustration went back to shore to hear Hardz grinding his teeth as well, Tweeked the batten tension as the bottom of the sail wasn't feeling stable, was going to change the fin to the 36 but the wind mistakingly looked like it was filling in.... it wasn't. After a couple of frustrating runs decided to change the fin so went and did that went back out only to have Shane shout as I chugged past that the wind was dropping out, I went out cause I wanted to see the difference the fin made, straight away realise I should have used the 36cm fin, settled the board down straight away. Managed to gybe and get back on the plane and back to shore. Nice way to finish of the day.
Sammy (16210km): Safety Bay late session 4.30, where bumped into mr Locky.. good to see him there and Adam and Holden familly (well done guys on the PBs yeeeh ) I went on the 47 and 5.8 and could not jibe, wasnt powered enough but the run with mr Locky was cruisy just enough, was missing 5 knts. I percisted on keep going, but after struggling I changed to the 55 for last 30mins and was very close to the speed of the 47, the wind slowly eased off but managed few powered alpha with the 55 before the wind died. Could not jibe the board until Chris said: "Jiiiibe the tail" and it worked!! Just have to practice now.. Those boards are sick, wonder what the 41 going to give me !! HAPPY DAYS misty47, Locky23 - RSR5.8 - misty55, SSP25 Just want to say a BIG THANK YOU to Chris L for the awesome job is done on the design of those beautiful board.. thank you
