Boxing day out at the Beaver. Bit underdone on 6.3 so it was pretty cruisy.

short sail after family duties

couldnt get into gear...maybe it was the gusty melv conditions..maybe it was the wrong choice

of gear? more than likely it was a combo of both..

needed to get a sail in as the next 2 weeks are not going to provide much opp if at all.

evo4 6.4 (nice in the gusts but a 10.7 would of been better in the lulls)

mistral55-lockwood 26 (nice in the strongest gusts but a formula board would of been better in the lulls)

xfire 102-volt carbon 32 then talon 34

changed boards twice,fins 3 times,re rigged the sail 3 times as well..

fun all the same ..

 Nice to be back at the Beaver after a 2 year absence. Sunny, warm and clear water. Great to have a long fang with Ado out to the back of Penguin Island and back, great fun. Tried to go for a 2 sec PB but was a little under juiced on the 6.2 down the run.

Off my distance PB by about 5 k's damn it ! had i known, would have kept going and the bbq could have waited - cracked 3,000k's though (a sad reflection of how little I get to sail these days
