Full on day on Botany Bay. Comfortably cruising on my bigger Tabou Rocket 135 and Hot Sails Maui Speed Demon 6.6m before lunch. After lunch I went to my Rocket 105. However it was much windier. I could not gybe and had trouble water starting as gusts would just launch the sail. Got back in and put about 5cm more downhaul and outhaul on the sail. It was much better and had a few more runs. However it was really too big.

Don't have a smaller sail than 5.9m and it was too big for it, so had to call it a day.

Spent new years eve at Kyeemagh, having dinner and watching the fireworks. So it was a big day.

A 26 knot NM is a fantastical accomplishipmet at Kyeemagh. A great alpha too. Excellent sailing there Adrian. Imagine what you could achieve on a slalom/speed board and sail on flat water. Sorry but no photos were taken of you. Wow it was a full on day at Kyeemagh. I'll see if I can invest in some sub 6.0 sails. Good one Maciek sailing with an injury. Take it easy now. Happy new years to everyone. I'll post some photos of us sailing later.

Thanks guys!! For once I had a nautical mile atempt where I stayed reasonably powered up for the whole time. Normally I run out of puff and get backwinded.

I wish I had my RS 5.8 and smaller fin on, I suspect I could have eeked another couple of knots out of the 2s later in the day when I was getting a bit over powered on the 6.2. Hard to say... Perhaps I would have been underpowered on the 5.8 which feels more like a 5.3 compared to my other non-cammed sails. I would certainly like to try some more speed oriented gear at some point and see if there is much to be gained.

Great to see Karl and Macwind out also. I am amazed you were holding onto that 6.6 Karl... especially at like 4pm when it was really cranking through and I was in survival mode with my 6.2.

Cheers,

Adrian
