Xcite 120 Venom 40 Koncept 7.5 - my new favourite sail. Held its own when the big gusts came through
Gidgets Run Wind SE, ESE 12 - 20 kts
Started early in light winds and it built and built all through the afternoon. Magic day my mind wanted to stay out with the rest but my body was too stuffed to. Sadly missed the last hour when all the best numbers where scored. Magic magic day of long runs Normal kms for me is 20. he he no wonder the body is complaining a little

The West Bar was at its best today with a great Buster turnout. Flat water blasting. Light wind gear, but the wind picked up to a decent strength later in the arvo. Couldn't be bothered with the trek back so just hung on!!

Fun sail at the Lake today, wind was much stronger than yesterday. Was awesome to meet so many people from other teams, there would have been about 20 sailors on the water.
Sailed from the 5 mile drift and spent the first few hours sorting out my feet. Tore the skin off the top of my feet the day before from my footstraps so was experimenting with combinations of bandaids & Duct tape. Ended up with 3 bandaids, about 4 layers of duct tape and then a booties on each foot, after a few runs i couldnt feel them anymore so it must have been goot.
Sailed down to the spit where everyone else was, got a bit gnarly in the middle. Wasnt feeling it and was pulling 35-6's so i cracked the s*^ts and sat out and chatted for a bit. Wind picked up a bit so i bagged the outhaul out and went back out. Instant extra 2-3 kts - much happier. Had a crack at an alpha (first time on the speed board) almost stacked by missing the board with my back foot when stepping over to carve - havent gybed anything that small before - so really happy with a 23alpha considering (and on my bad side).
All in all a good day, was great to get some tips from Hamma. Might have to try that bum dragging technique off the wind next time!!
I'll be back soon... once the water drops & the weed grows

What a day, Started off frustrated that I didnt rig the 7.8 RS Slalom MkIV becuase all the guys with their flat / wide formula boards were whizzing past with e strucgling to get on the plane. However, one the wind kicked in I had a ball.
One of thode rare occasions when the tide and wind direction was just right to give perfect flat water speed sailing conditions along Gidget's run and then later on along another section of the main channel.
Conditions deteriorated once the tide rose and started to spill over the sand bars, however by that stage i managed to push mysel to my limits resulting in 100 M peak at 29.75 knots and Top 5 x 10 Sec at 29.63 Knots and a 2 second peak of just over 30 knots.
Certainly looking forward to the next low tide at Noon with a southerly seabreaze building in the afternoon.

Great ramps and wind gust. Never been so high on such a huge board before.
Stepped on something gooey that moved as well.
