4357 days ago 2 categories Melville Beach, solid breeze by river standards with some good gusts, well to over powered at times on the 7 but the right sails for a short session, still not brave enough to go for nm in those conditions but soon.

Great arvo session at Melville. Borrowed a near new 2013 RRD V5 Xfire 98 from Jez at 2nd Wind. What a cracker of a board - smooth as silk going deep through some fairly hellish chop in places - well behaved even at mid to high 30 knots!
Used the 2013 KA Race 7.1 and 32 and 34 Talon. The 32 was a bit nervous at speed but the 34 was fine with the 7.1. The 2013 KA Race 7.1 is also an absolute cracker! I am sure with a bit more time on this board and sail combo I could crack a 40 on the river or at Hardies or the Beaver.
Very happy! There will probably be a very fast 2008 F2 SXS for sale on seabreeze soon! The V5 Xfire 98 is faster!

4357 days ago beaver! Was windy enough to have a crack on my refurbished 5.5m Evo3 gen1 proto from 2009, lent my 47 to Anita so ran the 41 with 20cm asy. Was a bit light to start with but the wind booted in later and made the beaver an adrenaline machine, with storm surge action making it a bumpy run. Had a few hairy exits at 43 running off the runway into the slop. Fortunately no carnage resulted. Plenty of grins to be had on a tricky day and a few PBs. yeeehar a windy seabreeze. Pinching myself did that really happen??? 31 runs over 40 on the dial, and 20 10secs... buggered now.

A very late (645pm) and quick post work sail. The dumpers rolling through Peli were impressive and everyone was on wave gear, so ummmddd and ahhhed a fair bit. Was a bit overboarded, over sailed and overfined most of the time, but it was good fun nonetheless. would have been wicked to sail somewhere else today...like the Beaver. Had a peak 32.2 on the dial.
Great numbers as usual Slowie and congrats on the PB's Stringer
IS86 Reflex 2 6.2 and Vector 30 (wasn't entirely happy in the chop)
