Fun day out in the middle channel with wend, Mick and Doug. Pete came later, but didn't have the volume to get planing.

IWC's Kailua 250 ltr and my Koncept 7.5 With Mick initially then Dazza and Wendy and Pete the Postman rocked up.

Decide to go big boarding to match Mick's longboard..  Had a ball seeing how fast I could wind this up without footstraps.  One stage had both feet out on the rail try to keep it down.  Definitely a Mach truck.  When you wound it up it just motored but hard work grining through the gears to get it up on the plane.  Great board for our beginners or the Overnighters that we still plan to do

Breakwater to Beacon Race.

First time for me in the B2B, loved it, had a ball.  Ended up coming 8th, stoked with a top 10 finish.

Was really hard work coming home, was really really broad and the swell was massive... really hard work.  Did 1 practice run on the 7.4 and was pretty happy - easily powered up.  Listened to the race briefing and then with 3 mins before the start switched sails to myh 6.6.  Am very happy i did as i was very comfy upwind and was smoking.  Downwind could have done with more sail and less fin.  Ah well its finding a balance isnt it.

Great fun Cool
