Good fun sail with Fergus. Fairly light SE and the 107 was going so well with the R4 7.8/40cm Sting 2.

Pulled into the carpark after work and wandered down to the beach to check the wind. Headed back to the car to rig and returned to the beach with my gear to find every man and his dog stading along the edge of the sand looking out into the water.

a 2m shark was swimming down the beach.

Don't think I've ever felt so nervous carrying my gear through a break and water starting....may have been the shark, but the 100 onlookers who thought I was crazy didn't help.

Anyway, got a short sail in in tough conditions, 4 foot swell covered in chop saw me ariborne more often than I planned but it was enjoyable all the same.
