Updated 8 feb with Realspeed alpha!

I had an hour I could squees in before driving to work. Trees were a-wobbling so I went to have a look, forecast was 14kts

Looked ok on arrival tide a bit higher than Friday when I struggled a bit with weed.

JP54S, EvoIII 6.2 Pepe speed weed 28

I have had trouble with this rig not rotating freely since I got it, could not find a applecore thingo for my adj out-haul so took that off and rigged straight into outhaul with a bit of extra space as suggested by Elmo. Well blow me down, rig rotates perfectly like this with the recommended settings.

Very happy about, that I launched to go for hour and alphas. No other windsurfers out, about 6 kitesurfers doing their thing.

Water was quite flat but the run is only about 1000ms long so loads of gybes for an hour. I blew 5 in the time so knew it would not be a great one. Main reasons were lack of sailing fitness and sore from Fridays session and also going for pb alphas every gybe. I have done this before and the two are not compatible for me ..... I tend to fluff a few gybes when really going for the 50m prox.

Bugger, I was within .24kt of a hour pb, lack of fitness did not help :-(

Anyway what a great session, wind filled in towards the end when my arms were aching. I must get Realspeed so I can see how I did!

This is a great location with really flat water, small area limits its ability to be world class.

huge thanks to Pepe for an awesome fin. works brilliantly.Laughing One very happy evets!

Stop press 8/2/13.... Had the data checked on Realspeed, KA72 only showed my second  fastest alpha at 23.66, Realspeed shows a 24.01, 6 satelites, no spikes..... huge thanks to Alby for coaching in gybing, repeated assistance with kit selectioon and tuning , oh and for giving me a target to passWink

Yeeeehhaaaaaaa

Really pleased to get over 24. As I said more to come on this kit. Starting to feel like I can legitamately call myself a speed sailor (at times Embarassed)

Thanks all, I am confident I can squeeze a little more out of this set up :-)

Pepe, If you mean that I have finally managed a quicker alpha than Elmo, no I should not mention it ( the fact he is generally 5 kts faster than me on any given day I shall definitely not mention!)
