Canton Beach, NSW, AU

Quick morning sess. Looks like I missed the best of the wind, so expect some good times to be posted tonight!

Thanks so much Jonny for giving some time on the 'tank' - Fanatic Falcon 121litres. Would not have even got close to these numbers on my board in stuff that light - really appreciate it. Good to see Jonny, Pugs and few others out getting amongst it, was only gonna get better, looked to be improving even as I drove away.

Falcon 121, North Natural 6.6m, JP weedy 36cm

Wallis Lake, NSW, AU. Very on and off to start with, then came up a bit steadier later in the afternoon 15-25 knots. Rigged  5.5 GTX with Carbon Art 93, but shitful when the wind was off. Had a great sail in the arvo, with heaps of people so always fun.

Hoping for a better day today.Certainly very little rain at least.Wind looked ordinary to start, about 15-20k WSW again. Not very inspiring, but some stronger gusts started to come in.Small problem....no harness.Looked like a drive home, but Pete B to the rescue.Went back to Foster and got his brand new DaKine harness for Me.Thanks heaps Pete!!   Saved me a long drive. A they says - the tide waits for no man.

I rigged the GTX 6.0 and Fanatic Hawk LTD. Finworks 11.5, which works well. Wanted more volume and more sail than yesterday.Got some nice runs in over near the island weed banks before the tide was too high and choppy.Pete and Chris came over and tried for a few runs too. Pretty hard to line up the gusts, which started to go more SW.

Two sessions again today with Bill, Anton, Chris, Pete,Rob and the Sydney couple as well as Tom and Matt K. Everyone looked to be having a top time out there. The wind swung more SSW and South and freshened up a bit too. Pity is was so choppy.Enjoyable sunday sail.

Bobs Creek, Queens Lake, NSW, AU

Gusty and borderline using 6.5 Ezzy, didn't have fun with the short board, wind died off and I got caught in the shadows. Got the big Kona out and got it just short of whistling. Sailed with Phil, Gary, David and Pat. I remembered to bring the GT31 this time but alas previous session the other week when we had the record number of sailors I reckon was faster. Jamie will attest, the Kona whistles when it lifts its skirt and that rarely was happening today. Good fun though.

Good on ya Jaime. Every sail almost there is a PB from you. Upward and onwards.

Mick, agree, sailing fast in chop is soooo hard, tiring and the risks of stacking and causing an injury are sooooo much greater, especially on a bigger/floatier board. I am guessing the fastest speed was on the Patrik? We had some massive chop on the way over to the mudbank yesterday, and to be honest, if there wasnt a mudbank (flatter water) to sail to, I probably would have given it in after 1/2 an hour - just no fun getting bashed around in heavy chop.

Thanks everyone for the encouragement. Mick, thanks heaps for the confidence and the encouragement, I cant wait for the right day - but after using that slalom board today, I'm convinced that the FSW has its limitations and I seriously need to look for a proper fast board. Still love the FSW, but for days like today, its just not gonna do it. Thanks Pugs, you got some great numbers today - Johnny, you looked fast when I left - thanks again for the loan, and the advice and the encouragement, oh, and congrats on the 17000k's - WOW. And Adam, thanks mate - I can only dream of the speeds you have been posting, but gonna keep working on it!

Mark, you have built a great team here mate - I am so enjoying sailing at the moment, and its the vibe of the team I love, the smiles and the encouragement is awesome!

Thanks for the encouragement everyone, just doing my little bits at a time and slowly getting there, it's feeling good. The Kona has been my saviour, it's so easy to ride in a wide range of winds, it's forgiving and converts bullets into speed very quickly. Perfect while I get my sailing fitness back. Amazing board for its size.

You're kicking arse Jaimie! You'll crack 30 and beyond in no time!

Milsy, fark 17k klm!!! That's the equivalent of sailing Canton to Maui and back! Excellent work, I admire your stamina.
