4334 days ago Queens Lake. Gusty N-Ne at 15-18 knots. Sailed up to the mud bank for some smooth water. Session ended early when i hit a crab trap at 29 knots. Massive over the front crash, but luckily all the gear survived, other than the leading edge of the fin. Pays to look where your going. Called it a day while i was still in one piece.
F2 Sx medium, Hot sails Gps 6.6m, Jp 31cm weedy(rip)

8m GPS and 99 Falcon + 2 runs on the 113
A few underpowered planing runs - but man, so flat and easy to gybe and sail - quite plesurable for and easy and quick sail despite the lack of speed.

Light NE'er of about 8-12 knots at the most.
NP H2 8.2m sail + JP114 Slalom with 36 cm JP weed Free fin.
Not much wind until after 5.30pm pretty ordinary for a lot of the session.
Had a very close call with the local Sea Turtle, which swam right underneath me at one point. Don't know who was more surprised.
Lucky I was wearing my helmet today, as the mast clocked me right in the middle of the noggin' during a lame stack. Very lucky not to do any damage!
Satisfied I actually did a reasonable speed in the pretty ordinary conditions. No else out today, just me....oh well at least I got out.

Great day. Bit underpowered at first on my Lof 5.9m2. later in the day conditions were great. Thanks again for the lessons Gabe.

Bill (1142km):
4333 days ago Coomba Bay, NSW, AU Finally sorted my files out. Great day, adventure crossing the length of the lake to check in with Mat and Gabe at Booti. Only place on the lake not much blow actually. Coming back had massive swell for a lake and did my first wave sailing with breaking waves. Got the rig right with my 5m Zone and aboard HMS Pinky blasting or should I say pounding through the chop and swell.

Fab day out compared to Friday's fiasco. Not a huge amount of wind on the inside earlier, but gradually filled in. Got awesomely windy out wide. Not too weedy. Still not as flat as it has been close inshore however, but some nice runs in anyway.Went for a blast over the other side, and wished I had my 4.7 and Hawk!
NE to NNE 15-22k and more like 20-28k out the back, and super choppy. Two sessions on my 6.0GTX SL79 Vector27weedspeed.Great crowd down at the point.Good to meet Brian again down there, with the usual crowd out again.Big Pete was looking great on his new Tabou Thunder, while "little Pete"looking super consistent as usual. Great meal and drinks last night, thanks Jo and Peter.Nursing a very tired and injured body and head at present. Need a few days recovery!
Surprised to see Bill and Anton come downwind for a run to the point from Coomba.Wanted to go to the sailing club for that super wind tunnel and flat weed bank, but the local laser regatta made parking impossible. The road down to Booti is looking pretty rough at the moment, as is the rigging area after all that rain.Good time had by all I'm sure.Well done on all the great efforts by the Maruaders!!

Chris Kelemen (1067km):
4333 days ago Booti Booti, NSW, AU. Finally a true NE like we used to have. Nicely powered on my 6m GTX and Carbon Art 93, with plenty of wind inshore so nice and flat. Wind ramped up after about 3pm and a bit overpowed at times, but still went for it (its only 2 seconds). Hands so sore for second session that I kept it short. Big smiles all round with lots of people on water -Gabe, Irish Tom, Rob, Brian from Sydney, Peter, Hamish and Farmer Pete. Matt came later and ripped on a smaller sail. Bill and Anton came over from Coomba Bay - long haul back upwind. Fabulous session, and fixed my GPS so I have my alphas back at last!!! 20 - 25+ knots and cranking.
