Coal Point, NSW, AU

Isonic 101 and Pryde 6.7, 36cm fin. Long harness lines.

Crazy day at Coal Point, constantly shifting wind. very choppy and uncomfortable. Tried sailing with longer harness lines as recommended by Byron. Uncomforttable at first but started to feel ok after a few runs. Got some good speed up on some runs even in the choppy conditions. Keen to try the longer lines in flat water.

Hugh, I found that sail pulley thing of yours.

Byron, that's killer speed man. May have to get a speed board to keep up!

Smith's does have potential for a good speed strip. Really is dependant on the water level. Was way too choppy yesterday because of it.Nice location but also note that the sand varies as they let the lake out when too full, which changes the run. Then, you can't sail it because it's too low! In fact, they're planning on doing that fairly soon.

On the plus side - No weed!
