Crappy sail in gusty/overpowered choppy wrong setup sail and fin...sailed at least, just didn't get it right, and the bullets made it hard.

Lauderdale front beach.

Pretty disapointed with todays sail. Had high hopes for a really good blast but didnt happen. Got out on the water around 8am with what looked like heaps of wind. Just had no real strength behind it, definately looked windier than it was. Was meant to get really windy this arvo but that didnt happen either. Had Russ and Kaleb out and Dave joined later. Sorry Dave just didnt think that was you, maybe I am not used to seeing you not planing. Isonic 107, Venom 40 and R4 6.2

Rigged for the big 25 - 30 kts that was supposed to come in, but the wind did the opposite. Very disappointing. But now as I'm writing this it's 5pm and its 25 - 30 kts at the beach. Been like that since 3.45pm but bit too tired to go out.Frown

Wind was down when we rigged so went with the big gear. Came in strong as Paul said making things difficult. Big long runs available on this direction but very gusty.

Not epic conditions, but a good blast with Geoff, Jez and  a big crew of Port Sorell regulars.

Stanley, TAS, AU. A good day for me today, got there a bit early for the tide but went sailing anyway. Overpowered to start with on the choppy water but as the tide dropped and the water flatterned off the speed picked up. Combined two files from today. Fanatic Falcon 95, Venom 34, NCX 6.5...

Good sail at Stanley with the crew. Little bit under done with the sail size

Marion Bay, TAS, AU Went to Marion Bay for a late afternoon sail with Breno hoping ther tide would high enough. It was a long walk out to get to any depth. Once we worked out where we could sail it was good. Supprised no one else took this option. True to form, Breno managed to smash a hole in the deck of his board with his harness hook so we were reduced to one slalom board and one wave board. Exocet warp 58 Loft blade 6.3 and wave board.

A Very nice sail at Stanley. Yet again happy with my alpha. Really it was 6.4 weather. But sorted out the 5.4 and had it perfect, felt unreal.

Waited all day for the wind to get stronger and at about 5.30 it did. Went to Dorans. Pretty fun session, really flat, pretty powered up most of the time. I was supprised how good the 1 hour was because I came in about 3 mins early! IS101 R3 7.0 Vector canefire 36

Dorans, TAS, AU

iSonic 86, Reflex 6.2, Venom 32.

High wind combination in low wind situation.  OK to start, but then pretty much slogging off the plane trying to get upwind for over two hours and then turned around and slogged all the way back for over an hour to get back.  Quite hard work.
