great day on the Lake - never sailed in a strong ESE - perfect angle to sail from the club to Mt Warrigal

Lake Illawarra, NSW, AU SE up to 30 knots

What a great team day!Smile It wasn't fast but it was a heap of fun! We don't often get good SE winds, so taking advantage of the flatish water we were able to get long runs from the IYC to past the lake outflow channel. Although the wind was a bit patchy in the middle of this run it was a hoot to sail 4 abreast for well over a nautical mile.

Started off on the JP and switched over the the iSonic as the wind picked up a bit. The R3 7m was great - very stable & slippery.

JP SS 109, SB iSonic 78, SV R3 7m, Vector Weed Speed 23/45 (in the iS - love this fin!)

Lake Illawarra, NSW, AU     Zero to 20kts + in front of the rain squalls.

Not a day for old bones and freeride sails.

Spewin'!!  Out too early, too optimistic that the wind would build, rigged too small and didn't have the brains to change up size before my time ran out.  Looks like in turned into a fantastic day after I left. I consider my departure from the lake the sacrifice that the gods of wind were looking for in order to turn on the tap for the rest of the day!!

Sweet PB's Ken. I'm just over the moon that you posted!

Great NM Mike - that iso 80 is one fast board - nothing to do with the sailor, of courseWink
