JJ (6448km): Point Walter, WA, AU Dawn patrol with Norts and Claude - fairly constant 20 to 22 knots - nice way to wake up. Isonic 86, GPS 7.3, Vector Rockit 34
Jonah (894km): Point Walter, WA, AU Thought the wind would drop but it kept howling round the house so instead of doing those all important jobs whipped down to Point walter for a session. Unfortuately the GPS ran out of gas but i think i was nearly done by then anyway. RRD 102 Vector rockit 34 RSR 7.0
Pointman (8480km): Pelican Point, WA, AU On the water after 10, so I prolly missed the best of it, but it was fun for a while. M112 + 7.6 TR7 + 40 Sting. Never managed to line up any strong gusts when I was looking for bearaways down the point, so the speeds were average, but pleased to at least find one good gust for a decent alpha. Huey lured me into a mile with a sustained gust as I was heading out on port tack and I sailed all the way down to Melville. Getting back was a struggle, and included wobbling through some sub 10K holes, but I made it back upwind without a swim so all good. Breeze completely shut down around noon, and it was a long slog home. |
