LG,

Great weekend sailing and meeting new faces, as for me, off form and out of shape, i knew Brad was going for the one hour and i was going to try my best to pace him, rigged up went out, cracking start but didn't spend the time to set my self up properly, 20 min in i was fighting the rig and struggling and had to stop to sort things out. Started again and tagged on to the back of Brad to see if i could pace him............ not a chance he had at least a knot or more than me across the wind and everyone of his gybes are text book.. grrrrrrLaughing, i knew then i was not on that day going to even get close, so i aborted and wacthed him crank out the hour. Going over my results i was at best going to do a 29.5, good 1 hours require strength and endurance, something i have lost in the last months.

Then came the speed seshEmbarassednot sure what was going on today but i just couldn't get in control and fast, there was good wind to be had and i just couldn't make it happen. One thing i did learn these last days is i still have a long way to go to be consistant, the other day i felt like i could take heaps more wind on the same gear, and today i felt like i was learning from the start again, very frustrating but a good learning curve.

Nice numbers Jacques. Good to catch up again.

I know what you're saying about Brad - he is a machine...

Cool speeds Jacques, but I just knew you were going soft recently! It's good to admit these things so you can punch on to the next level.  Wink
