Pelican Point, WA,

Rocket 95lt, NP V8 6.5m2, Tlab 38

Washing machine slop, breeze was gusty and fickle - fortunately there were only a few sub-planing holes over the time I was out there.

Not really appropriate to call that a speed sailing session - it was more like bump n jump.

Forecast wasn't too promising but the wind kept building so made a dash for SB.

High tide, about 0.7m of water making the run pretty choppy, but plenty of wind - probably around 25 knots.

Thought I'd test the upper limit of the 7.3m - it handled the gusts brilliantly.

A bit lonely until Stroppo turned up - stoked to see him with his new Hot Sails Maui GPS. Does two make a team?

Got 35.2 with the Isonic then thought I'd give the Mistral a go - great fun and a bit faster.

No problems with the 47 and the 7.3 sail - no spinout issues and fine going upwind out in the bay.

Isonic 86, Elmo Weedy 30 - Mistral 47, Vector DWS 27 - both with HSM GPS 7.3m

So disappointed not to be able to get down to Safety Bay today. As it was even Peli had turned off by the time I got on the water.Frown

At least I got to try my adjustable outhaul and see what needed reconfiguring - skinny booms need extra padding out under the clamcleat. The cleat slid down the boom arm and left me with a totally bagged out sail. Good thing the wind had dropped!

Practiced some light wind gybes. Pretty happy with the alpha considering the top speed.

Nice to catch up with Jake, Jeff and Jonah. The Triple J's!

Outing at Dutchies after the W word.

Wind up and down, tide too high for any decent waves.

A few nice boosts.

Great sesh at Peli in a solid 18-23K.

M112 + 7.6 TR7 + 40 Sting.

On the water @3, sailed for a little over an hour.

Heaps of fun, well powered to fully lit (at the end there).

Best river sesh for the season for me Cool

Would've sailed for longer, but a mate invited me to see Nick Cave at Red Hill tonight, so I had to settle for a short sharp sesh (I was about to join JJ at SB when I got the call).  Nick was cool Laughing

The cherry on top of a great day actually Smile

I couldn't resist the call to SB as the wind kept building.
