iSonic 107, Reflex 4 7.0, Sting II 34cm.

Great sail on the bar at Stanley with at least 20 sailors on the water.  Rigged and on the water by 6:30am to get the low tide.  Not a lot of wind, so rigged a bit bigger than hoped, but the wind came in at around 20 knots, so was well powered up.  Gear felt awesome, as always.  Cannot wait to get back here when it's windy.  OMG - an alpha PB?

Much better wind today, very happy with the speeds today. Pity the tide came in so quick, should have got up an hour earlier. I've never sailed in the inlet at high tide, would have loved to have had the bump & jump gear as well and got some air out in the waves.

Stanley East inlet. Had an early start to catch the low tide and the water was very flat but wind was a bit square to the run but awesome sailing. Heaps out by 930. IS86, Loft Blade 7.0, Venom 34

Thanks guys regarding the Alpha PB.  Got me a bit worried as I hadn't actually checked my tracks, just posted direct to KA72 at the beach.  Only got one good alpha, rest were under 24 knots.

I think the secret was that I was following Anthony and Izaak down the run, fully powered up trying to catch them when all of a sudden Izaak pulled into a gybe and then Anthony did.  I wasn't even thinking of going for alpha's, but then followed them.  Did a reasonble gybe and powered straight back up.  I was surprised how much it felt like they were pointing back up wind, almost to where we came from it seemed, but I followed anyway.  Looking at my tracks, it was only just enough (luckily)!  You can also see after the gybe where my tracks changed direction from where I would have normally gone, to pointing back upwinda little!

I think a lot of my best alpha attempts in the past were simply out of the 'circle'.  A good lesson to learn from team Perkins!!
