Stanley, TAS, AU 10-25 knots. Tide filled in before the wind properly arrived.

Late afternoon session could be the one. Reckon Geoff could be in for a blast.

Pitt Water, TAS, AU

Got down to Pittwater at 10am, was mirror calm on the river. Around 20 knots when I got there, rigged the R4 6.2, Isonic 90 and 34cm modified C3 Venom. Very northerly for most of the morning and up and down. When its coming from that direction its only good on the Sorell causeway side. When its NW or W/NW its better on the Midway pt causeway side. I came in around 1.30pm just as it swung NW and was blowing a gale, total whiteout. Thought I had nailed an awesome alpha but obviosly it was out the of the range. Did a 35 knot 2 sec down past the chicken factory. Top speed was top corner of the Sorell causeway at the Sorell end. Hey is that a spot PB on that side. Good to get out 2 days in a row, river looked insanely windy on the way home. I reakon a few would be heading to Dorans this arvoLaughing

Mauisails 5.5 Naish sp ltd 95 Vector rocket 32 would have used the MXR fins today but i need to sand these puppies to fit the box perfect.Cool

It was mega windy, the kind of wind that puts you in survival mode as the willy skippers blow through Laughingbut first time on the 5.5 TR9 so i went for it Tongue out in what I would call extremely confused chop today and mega high wind.

36knots  on the dial dropped downCry but to be honest fair call because I was holding back a bit today in the chop. That new Maui TR9 5.5 sail Tongue outTongue outTongue out  total V8 power and on a flat water location LOOK OUT!!! I have no excuses any more Surprisedthis sail is a total monster off the wind like a real bad girlWink love it!!

I got one super high floater jump on the slalom kit today that made me think of the old Neilpryde videos landed it so sweetCool funny how you remember those moments over winter and it keeps the stokeSmile

Wind was honking before the sandbar started to apear. As usual the wind dropped, to around 23knots, once we hit the water. It was very very gusty but good to have a sail after work.

Today was more testing conditions for me. As i have moved my speed board footstraps, right back. The board is a whole new feel and definatly feels better. Another session or two, i should have it sorted and comfotable to push it. Anyway things look very promising.

Stanley, TAS, AU.,As the sandbank appeared the wind disappeared. It was pretty gusty, sailed back before the tide got too low... Fanatic Falcon 95, Venom 34, NCX 6.5

As is usually the story, the sand appeared and they died. Still great to be out there

Dorans, IS86slim, R3 5.6. Crappy sail in 0-30 knots and heaps of chop. Happy with the 2sec in the conditions.

Well done guys, wish I could have gotten out today.  Sounds as though you like that sail Russ - be a good gun-fight weapon!!  Nice 2-second Perks.  I think we need to call that whole area Pittwater, Steve, unless you can come up for another name for it (Pittwater East and Pittwater West maybe)?

So Steve what is a 34 modified Venom?? Or is that high tech talk for a 34 Venom that's hit the oysters a few times?

Nice work with the PBs Parky, going fast in the goon bay chop is no easy task. Pencil in a Stanley trip for Easter.

Sorry Kazza that is top secret. Its a 34cm Venom that I got Bear (thanks Bear) to take 2cm off the tip to bring it down to a 32cm. So its still got the power of a 34cm but for really windy powered up with the 6.2 its awesome and super fastTongue out

Will that vid looks super flat but gusty, didnt see you there.

Well done on the PBs ParkyLaughing

Jez, off the wind it felt better/faster/easier than the 34cm. That was in fully powered up conditions with the 6.2.
