I finally tried out my new 6.8 Loft Blade very nice sail it gets powered up easy rotates well with good top speeds on my big board. Wind was about 15 to 18kts but did drop off as the storm got close.

Wello and Lota, F2 Axxis 90 L, Daytona 6.6, Gold Wing 34. Rigged for 20 to 25 knots, but we never got more than 18 I reckon. I was on the plane for most of two hours though, but coming out of Lota the wind dropped completely and I was first up to my knees and later I sank to the waist and I was thinking I would have to swim like Ben the year before, but it was low tide and by tiptoeing the water was up to my neck, still it was a half an hour walk slowly getting shallower until I got up to the mud at Wello and a few fellow windsurfers kindly took my gear and carried it up for me. Thanks guys.

Needed more powaaaah.

What happened to the 20-30 knots???

Pretty crap day at Wello with marginal conditions. Mucked around with my downhaul and just could not get comfortable.

Sailed out of Manly - Left it a bit late in the day to get down - was waiting for the forecast 20-30 - we got at best 22 in a gust. Anyway - nice day for a blast around. Was probably underfinned slightly for the conditions.

My gear was a John Mills ATV 257 Custom Special and NeilPryde RS-4 6.2 - Was overpowered... I need to get some device to crank the sail down as doing it by hand is impossible... prolly a weight jacket would help too...
