Stringer (6817km): peli ponit 5.8RS4, 94L Isonic 30cm F1 Falcon. GT31Doppler. cuaght some clown kitsurfer when he decided to land his tea bag right infront of me, and another guy, out in the 'windsurfing area'... shame i forgot the scisors otherwise i would have finished of what my fin started!
Isaac de Vries (2353km): sailed up from peli pt to pt walter twice and then second time it was heaps windieer! did a few speed runs but the fisherman casting out werent allowin me to get in to the flat water and bear away. when he finally left had few good runs but not too powered up. Dave scored a 40 knt run on his speed rig nice one! died out quick and sailed back realised i was just under 100km so i sailed for another 15 mins. iso 87, koncept 6.5, tectonic gold 30
25 (7387km): Hardies - tried for an 'all round' set of numbers today. The hour [Tabou Manta 64, 6.6 Koncept, 36 goldwing] was frustrating - half way through and on track for a goody when I sailed into a sub-planing hole over on the east side of the Inlet - wind slumped for about 25 mins - did not bother Claude though! A few speed runs after [Kinetic centurion 52, 6.6 Koncept, 24 weed 45deg]. Good to have quite a few SRMers down. Fun - I'll sleep well tonight!
Recycle (10709km): fun session at Hardies with a quite a few crew,nice to get a pb ca44 rs6 6.7 nortec 23 weedy
Slowboat (25967km): Another drive down to crabland (thanks Matt) hoping to see some wind. Standard gusty 15-23 again... Rigged 5.8m in anticipation but it never looked close to being viable. Ended up on the 6.6m all afternoon with CL24 asy and SP44. Gave the 40 a few runs but the wind had really konked out by then. Nice to get on the water though. Good work team. All we need is a cranking day to get some decent numbers.
Claude Lecoq (22230km): Mandurah estuary, great to catch up with the MM crew, tried for 1Hr but underpowered for most of the time. IS 86, 6.7, 32 Choco, later when the wind picked up W49, 6.1, 27 Choco weedy.
Snides (18313km): great day at hardies but not the wind we where told was coming. think from memory i used a 5.0 twice in 2008 and i am 70kg's! havent used my 4.4 for close on 2 years! sess was a mish mash of equipment- ison 105,cred 6.7,brushcutter 34 ca 50,cred 6.7, weed eater 25 as above but with 5.8kon finally on the silver bullet with the 5.8 for some alpha practice. tide was quite high meaning fins werent getting damaged how ever the off shoot of this meant a bit of chop throughout the course and especially down at alpha land where it was the choppiest i have seen it. interesting gybing around flocks of swimming swans at warp speed and watching them take flight across my line!
