Quick late arvo blast at Melville - hit the water at about 5.30 with the big gear [IS 122, Koncept 7.5, Drake 40] just as the wind booted about 5 knots. Had a good forearm and reflex workout. Held it together just! Nice cool-off.

went to Peli to cruise on the big stuff but the wind came in pretty puffy so used SP44/6.6m/CL24Asy. Sailed up to Melville which was a mission due to the big holes, but was spurred on by some solid gusts coming through. But by the time I got there it was all a bit frustrating. Watched the good gusts when I was sailing upwind, or was just on the wrong side of them on the run... Choppy due to high tide, but no probs for the SP44. Got my fastest squirt pretty low down the sand bar in the rougher water thanks too a nice little wind puff. Its not the chop that kills the speed, its this seemingly endless lack of wind. PS Just noticed I got a 35 out in middle of the river on the wrong tack for my asy fin! stoked.

Late session at point walter, wind patchy with odd good gusts, Yoyo came out late and hit 39knts on his first run again picking the best gust of the day, he's really got this spot wired, may try again tomorrow hopefuly with more wind.

W49, 6.1, 26F1.
