Not really expecting to go sailing today so to get a sail was great. The wind was a very gusty north easter, some gusts were quite strong, perhaps to 20 knots however the wind in the lulls was very light, probably down to around 5 knots. So it was difficult to get reasonable results beside the 2 second peak. Lots of people out sailing which is great to see.

Used my Tabou Rocket 105, Neil Pryde 6.6 RX2 and old multifins 28cm Slalom Extreme. Probably should have used bigger gear but need to work on waterstarts and not get too used to the bigger board.

Not a bad way to spend an afternoon. Started out on an 111ltr iSonic with a Daytona 6.6. Wind was a little gusty at the start. Worked my way up to the top of the runway for some flatter water speed runs. Today I was out to get a PB on my distance as the wind didn't seem strong enough for any really decent 10 second runs. Was also hoping to PB on my 1 hour, but as the wind was so gusty this wasn't going to happen. Really pushed myself with my gybes today which shows in my Alpha racing 500 with new PB Laughing

After sailing non stop for nearly 2 and a half hours, the wind was picking up so went in for break and to change down to my 6.0 Daytona and 93 ltr S-Type. Had a couple of good runs, but wind started to drop off and I was totally knackered anway. Am going to sleep well tonight!

A bit of a frustrating day with light and shifty winds with plenty of confused chop. To make it more interesting my deck is worn and super slippery...great for getting on the plane and gybes.

Enough whinging...the breeze did fill in to about 20 knots with some nice gusts. I was on my NP RSS 6.7 & Exocet TB62.

Good sailing Jonathan, you will have to give me some pointers on gybing, going faster and sailing for longer. Pity we didn't go down to the bay too, maybe next weekend.

Whinging is part of windsurfing Des ;-) I'll try and get out tomorrow so hopefully we can get a few more results for January. With both Jon and yourself posting excellent results we are having our best month ever.

Forecast 20-25 Tommorow and 20-30 on Wednesday, I can use my small not so slippery board Smile

I think Jon is taking the day of tommorow as well so we can all rack up some numbers. I may even polish out the scratches on my fin!!
