Chris Adamson (11668km): Nice little late summer sesh at Melville Beach with breeze around 20 and the odd 25ish knot puff. Koncept 6.6 with Manta 59, then Manta 49.
25 (7387km): Went for the hour and got there! Pipped Sam D by the smallest possible margin - perhaps Claude will make it all academic as he was going for hours too I think. Nice little sail on what is sadly probably the last day of daylight saving in WA for some years - until a Government has the balls to say 'its here to stay'. 6.6 Koncept 09, 64 Tabou Manta 09, 36 goldwing.
Stringer (6817km): he's going for distance, not going for speed.
Whitey (887km): Got to PP about 6:30pm and sailed for half an hour in about 15-18 knots. Manta 67, Goldwing 32 and Koncept 6.6. First time out on the Manta and it was fun - this was the board that was the prize in the raffle last year. Gotta get a bigger fin though.
Recycle (10709km): Great little session at Melville. Iso 87,rsr 7.8, GW 34

Claude Lecoq (22230km): Fun session at Hardies , always great blasting around with the crew down there , IS 86, 6.7 CR, 34 Goldwing , Finished up on W49, 6.1 CR, 27 Choco weed.
Snides (18313km): a last burst of summer? great cruisy day at hardies with lots of crew. went early on the iso105,cred6.7 and brushcutter 34 with a new camera mount to try....mount was a failure but i managed some footage which i will try and post later. totally awesome effort by pedro to nail the big hr!! he had mentioned several times over the last couple of weeks about going for a big 1..and true to form he delivered a 'captains knock' nation topping result!!! well done mate! well done also to Claude for nailing a pb nautical mile! also to stringer for a new distance pb well done crew! my sail was pretty ordinary at 1 point got a bit bored with it almost leaving early, but kept going. changed down to the ca sp50,kon5.8,venom 30 which never felt right, and i suspect was picking up clumps of snot weed at times..prob should of used the standard weedy. wind was picking up as i left but had family commitments.

JC (3196km): Went for an early session at Peli. Got there at 130 with a very light SW, so rigged 9.0 and IS 125. Hit the water in almost non existant sea breeze, but it soon picked up quite nicely and built to a steady 18 knots by 3 when i left. It was in the end a really nice little session on that combo once the wind did pick up and it was fun racing around with Stringer who was on smaller kit. Speeds were never going to be great given light wind. WOuld have been fun to change down to the IS 87 and a 6.5m. Could have kept going but had to set up for my 40th !. Nice numbers team ! Great results.
Craig Mann (896km): Tabou Manta 59, KA Koncept 6.6 and Goldwing 32 at Melville Beach. I'd just like to give a BIG thanks to Ado for loading this on for me. |
