Great sail today couldn't get any high speeds like the other guys seemed to be stuck in one gear but had so much fun, course was very square for most of the day although the gusts were shifting in direction at times

Expect a whole lot of PB's from the other team membersSmile

KA 5.0, Lorch S83, Venom 26. Wind 15-20 Gusts 30-35

Good day out, very up and down but it was still good. spent most of the day on the gear above, did a few runs on the KA 5.8 and the Carve, but the gusts were too big for me and faster on the small gear.

The most fun I have had for a long while as far as sessions go.

Started on the CA44 - RSR6.7 - Caspar27 then swapped boards for the JP V 60 for a few alphas and back on the stick again.  I haven't done this many km's on a speed board before but the runs are longer so there is ess time out of the harness.  Got some piccys and vids that I will post when I get the chance.

Everyone had a great session, congrats to Choco and Joe on the PB's.  Im sure there are some yet to be posted.

Great day.

Great session guys. Pity I couldn't make it - work got in the way. I'll sail tomorrow but it might end up being an 8.5m day.

Awesome work on the PB's and sounds like a great stack Joe - I reckon you could go for a smaller fin for that board and sail combo. A 24 C3 Venom would be sensational. Let me know if you want one. I've spoken with Tim and Hamma this evening and I look forward to seeing their numbers too.

Well done Demons! Smile

I gotta try harder Joe's getting too fast  Tongue out

missed a 2 sec PB by 4 tenths of a sec and the 5x10 by 1 hundredth of a sec

disappointed with the NM (happy with the PB) too much time gliding in between gusts. great day I'm stuffed Tongue out

Thanks guys,(just woke upSmile) I spent about 10 hours making the vid, 9 of which was trying to embed the bottom readout into the file.  In the end I just snagged the video, lower res but you can't notice it on You Tube.  I also snagged the 2D plot down the left.

I hope to do a tutorial on what I have learnt and how to do it for anyone interested.  Putting the "subtitles" at the bottom is really easy if you want to output the file as an avi, mpag or make a dvd.

Hey Hardie,  work will be completed in a few weeks on flow restrictors to restore the normal river level west of Clayton. This may fill in a month or if we have no more big showers it may be next winter that it fills completely, so we are trying to make the most of it while we still can. They will be pumping some water from Lake Alexandrina whether there is rain or not.  Will keep you informed by the posting of high speeds -or not so high speeds!Smile

Congratulations to you all guys, awesome speeds. You are always an inspiration to us here in Croatia. Great spot. Kimba, that video made me speechless, great stuff and great one mile. I just cut a one mile at 26.5, through the chop and that felt fast. Wonder how ecstatic were you at the end of the run Yell..

Wish you all many more days and sessions like this Cool!!!

Hi Dr. Cam,

Heaps of places to stay at goolwa - only 10 minutes away.  The only problem is timing the right direction and enough wind.  Out of 6 attempts only 2 times have workedYell.  Would be well worth it if it happensLaughing.
