At the Pit before dawn. It didn't deliver the vicous front that was promised, in fact the first 1hr or so was marginal, could have easily been on the 6.6. Got windier towards the end when I was spent, man you get tired quickly in that cold. A really fun session.

A small hardcore crew on site. Catain Kato, Spotty,Matt,Tony and yours truelly

No startling speeds for me but happy to get a 40+ 5x10. Spotty was realing off 44,s when I left and he,Captain Kato and Matt were sailing through high tide,I guess all day.

Highlight of the day for me was Matt riding the Love MuscleSurprisedI think he said it was a PB, but I get that alotWink

Oes Custom speed 62, 09 Ka Koncept 5.8,McDougall/Lockwood Ka23 Assy  and a couple of runs on Spotties CA44

A brutal day.Like Swiss Cheese, comes from a cold place and full of holes. Dawn start ,0 to 40+ WSW to SSW for most of the day with some sunshine. It almost felt warm.Undecided My feet thawed out after the 45min drive and the hot shower. Ran on the KA 5.8,CA40 and TM V7 swaping with the Kids Pro S, KA 5.0 and TM 26 depending on which season we were sailing in. Got slapping by the wind gods running back upwind and spent the next 5 mins standing on the sail Frown and then the next 10 mins floating around with no wind. Had some nice runs on the CA with Matt KA 21 fin, might have to put an order in for one before" Al,s not here" Nice to get a sail instead of a day at work Laughing

Dawn start, strongest squalls later in the day but tide was all the way in by then.    Very cold around 10'C more so when the fronts/squalls came thru.  Wind was swinging back and fourth all day and suckered me into one last run with too much south in it.   Ended up past the red bouy, wind shut off, started the long long walk back through shin deep sand/water. Got back exhausted and then a mega wind squall hit complete with rainbow,   Arrrrgggghh   .. All in all a tough long day,          Kode112 SP44 KAassy21.5 Koncept5.8

Pre-dawn rise to get to the PiT by 8.30am - last to arrive... The Tonester was there - what a machine >4hrs drive to be there at 8.00.

Used the 5m early, but kept getting lifted, so switched to the 4.4m - instantly 2kn faster... yeharr.  Water was reasonably smooth all day - lots of small chatter, but not too much rolling chop, considering that the tide was coming in and that it was a big tide.  But I found the wind to be quite bursty - only one run with a consistent speed.

Got a few rides on the Love Muscle before Martin packed it in... ooohhh it felt real nice! Tongue out I think I'll need to try a few more boards.

Don't get too concerned, the offending item is my Avitar. If your at the PiT soon your welcome to slip on some rubber and climb on (the) board...

Enough of that

Matt said he liked it and that it was alot easier than his Missile to sail at speed. He got his best speed for the day( at that point in time) on it, although I am sure he went faster later as the wind increased. He felt the deck was too flat though.  I took Spotty,s CA 44 for a ride ( hadn't tried one before) and found it very similar( to."the muscle") although mine seemed easier to get going. That surprised me as it,s smaller. I think that extra width just behind the back straps( because of the wingers) really gets it planing quickly for a board of it,s dimensions. I would have loved to have had a ride on Matt's Missile but I think I would have struggled to get it going, there tiny boards.
