What a day - went from overpowered to walking back  with no wind. Started on Sonic 85, KA Koncept 5.8, lessacher Chameleon 24cm and had some all right runs but should have gone 6.6m. Wind died so came in a rigged JP Slalom 114, KA Koncept 7.5m and Lessacher duoweeed 32cm. Of course wind picked up to be insanely overpowered on this gear. Came in swapped back to Sonic and chased Steve down to the point for the nautical mile and of course wind died and spent a lot of time walking home admiring the shallows. Got back to see all the boys laughing at me....

As Red said what a day, First tushy X15 5.2, Flow, 30 weedy, then NP Excess 6.4, then nothing, then 5.2, then 6.4, then nothing. Hopefully tomorrow's better but still good to be on the water.

Swapped between 2 rigs :

  1. 95 Sonic, 5.8 Ka Kult, 28cm Lessacher weed fin
  2. 105 Hypersonic, 6.5 Severne NCX, 36cm Lessacher weed fin

Up and down conditions but still a lot of fun.

Brett and Steve: great numbers concidering the conditions.

Jacques: I am still wondering how the hell you hung on to that sail in those squalls.

Cant wait to get out and try my new (Bretts old) sail. Hopefully it will boost my numbers a little. I did have a 44 knots on Speed Genie but I am pretty sure its when I had a bit of a spill on the Hyper. Weed, a big fin and chop dont seem to play well together.

After walking through the weed yesterday I can hardly walk today. Went down and saw Jacques at Swan Bay and even had trouble getting out of the car!

PS Where's Geoff's post????

Hey Marcus, we would welcome the return of the pirate and with numbers like mine for the weekend, I recon you will not have any trouble.
