Late dash after work. When I got there at 5.10pm, most of the work had been done by Craig and Peter. Did a one hour and some Alphas.

One hour was a bit of a disaster. I kept catching small strands of weed and it would knock 3-4 knots off my speed and cause spinout on the upwind. Backed it up 3 times but that would only last 10 mins at best. I am going to have to experiment with different fins to try to shed it.

IS87, 30cm KA Slalom fin, 09 5.8 KA Koncept.

Oh, and my GT-31 didn't record because I turned logging off when I used it in the car last week. Doh! Posted from GT-11 on my arm.

Peter and I went to the Pit with a cup in our mindsWink Not a great forcast but it was wind and we needed some distance for the challenge. I started at 7am on the Ka6.6 and the AB,did two runs and got blown off the water,Next. Kids Pro with the Ka5.8,a few runs with that then no wind, back to the other combo, lots of wind... drag out the CA40...unplug the TM 26 (I,ve only got one of these to share between two boards) No wind ...back to the Kids Pro...no fin...drag out the old Torquay 12" Off we go...high tide with a westery. A bit bumpy and with the 5.8,just on the edge of control, wish i had fixed the hole in the 5.0. Had a ball, tick the one hour box. Speed course fired up so down the run to Sandy Point B, two runs along that with the CA40. Tick the NM box. A few more runs along the bank with the Kids Pro, cranking some jybes in. Tick the Alpha box. A bit more distance and that was done, then Daffy turned up at 5....stumbled into the water for another one hour and some more distance. Stopped at 207km with cramps in both legs and no more omp left to pump out of the jybes. Pretty happy didn,t miss one jybe. Game onTongue out

A great day at the PiT. Lots of long runs from end to end. Only negative was that I put my head through my 5.2 Tushy x.15. Lucky I had a never rigged 09 5m Koncept in the car! I thought it had RDM cams but on closer inspection they were SDM. I ran out of juice by about 6pm so derigged and left with Daffy, Kato and Mal still hooning up and down the run pulling off smoking gybes.

The wind was a bit uneven but the 5m sail was just right for me mostly - a bit underdone on the speed run though.

JP Super -X 96L, JP 27cm slalom fin; and Lorch Div S 63L with 20cm KA assy; both with Tushy until torn, then 5m 09 Koncept.

Thanks for all the kind comments guys. One of the reasons this team challenge is such a great thing is that even not-so-speedies such as me can still contribute! Bit tired today though! Huge credit to Kato though - a massive effort!
