GREAT BUMP & JUMP SESSION. BETTER THAN FISHING !

An epic day at Seacliff!  Wind 25-40 knots and dead onshore at the start of the session (3.30 or so).  2m stormies and a full tide.  Was there to attempt wave sailing, but strapped on the gps anyway. Just as well because the wind was too strong for anything but reaching up and down between the swells and muscling through a gybe at each end.  Pretty pleased to post a 30 k peak.  Did one massive jump at the end of a speed run but the landing was brutal on the old joints (reaching for the aspirin right now).

20 - 30 knots at goolwa lake rankine's landing with some gusts over 30.  Very choppy but great fun.  You know it's choppy when a couple of wave sailors said it was choppy.

NO PB's today, Had a HORROR day, wind was 35k to start was on the 3.5 wave but would drop back to 5 to 10 after the rain squals went past. ran a 4.2 for a while and then thought stuff it and went to the RS4 5.8, was abut 3 ks out on the big lake when just went sideways and and lost me fin completely, couldn't even get on the board, had to use my harness as an anchor on the back of the board and try and hold onto the cam sail in the over 30 gusts and squalls, body dragged when I could, took 2 and half hours to get back to the spit, then went to the pub and stayed there for the night, unreal wind this arvo but my arms where still nearly locking and stuffed, lost my favourite weed fin, but Pete came down to Robe and brought a board down for me hope to get out monday night to test it. the wave board only done a best of 24k, my peaks where on the old drops which is now pensioned off.
