Darryl (9554km): Cruisy sail at crabland. Met up with his majesty sir decreipt on the lawn and was told that the tide was low. So the first thing I did was sail to the far side too find out how shallow. Thought it was my mast that cracked the nose but later inspection showed it to be my knee. Skin and hair was still stuck in it after 3hrs of sailing. Was going to go for an hour but the wind kept dropping off every 30 min or so. 1 hr time was mainly sailing up wind too the top of the bay. Don't know where alpha land is but every where down there is so flat. Very enjoyable day execpt I really needed a drink after 3 hrs. TR4 7.6 isonic 111 and new jp 36 weedy.
Annika (2359km): New toys to try so got down early... First sailed the RRD Xfire 90 and tyhe CR 6.5 down to Peli and back. Board was super smooth through the nedlands washing machine section. Nice! Board felt really comfortable and easy. Had a few gusts on the big gear to tempt me onto the smaller stuff (Xfire 80 and CR 6.1). Sadly the wind died by the time I got it out there. Can't wait for some more wind to really see how this board goes... quite a bit narrower than the SB... it's got good potential.
Scott (3683km): Futura 93, Lightning 6.5, Weedie 34 - Nice sail while it lasted. Me and the 93 are finally getting along, it loved that brief bit of 20 knots. Would be nice to try it without the weedie, but the forests are still there . They're gradually getting smaller... still think a bit of roundup would do the trick! Nice k's Darryl, sorry bout the board.... Those RRDs look schmick!!
Jesper Orth (3191km): Melville First day on the new RRD Xfire slalom boards. Pretty stoked so far!!, -rides very easy and comfortable, and jibing is smooooth with no worries. Cant wait to get back on the water again,, Tried 122, 112, 102, 90 all with 7.0 sail.

Nauli (8194km): CR 7.0; iSonic 105; Choco Weedspeed 30 Melville, Boxing Day..My first ever sail on a weed fin...certainly a different feel but definitely saved me a few times from a big snot weed...a good Xmas present. Conditions were a bit iffy...lots of holes, but still enjoyable...probably should have rigged the 8.1 CR and/or probably should have been there early. But it was certainly better than post Xmas shopping!! Scotty, Stribo, Annika and Jesper also out for PSS-ers. J& A on their new RRD's...looked to go really well.
Stribo (3137km): Oops nearly forgot this one |
