Aim of the session was to get some klms up. It wasn't to be. Was either over powered or dogging. Very little in between. However looking forward to seeing Steve's and jacques distance. They were fully committed and hung in there where I finally admitted defeat. Still, any day on the water is good.

What a day it turned out to be, some of the craziest wind shifts i've seen in a long time, one point we were sailing from side to side then it would drop a bit and come in so we were sailing from end to end at the lake. hard day on the water. when it would change it would come in strong making me way over powered. then i got catapulted twice to remember, the first one i have no idea what happend but one second i was sailing then the next i was shooting into the water head first and striaght into the mud, not a nice experience, quite frankly i sh!t my pants trying to get out!. Then the next belting along i just got flung, hit the water in my harness still, feeling my body bending ways it wasn't designed to go, only to pick my rig up with two broken batterns. After that i had to finish 20nm on the 6.4, which was out of control 60% of the time, way overpowered not nice at all, but the mission was completed!!!

Started earlyish at Pt Henry and then after lunch (and the wind shift) moved to the lake.  Not really the best day to knock up the km's as the wind never really settled on a speed nor direction.  10/10 funniest thing was seeing both of Jacques' legs poking straight out of the water (like a handstand) after his stack ... I didn't know at the time his face was stuck in the mud ... but, to his credit, he came up with a big weed filled smile!!
