Peli Pt, went for a cruise to melville beach, weed still a problem up this way so back to Peli, messy chop today with lots of stink boats cruising up and down the Swan, nice 20-25knt SW.

IS 86, CR 6.5, 32Choco Fireblade.

Started out at Peli and headed up to Point Walter for a few runs on the Precision Equip needle - it no longer has potholes all over the bottom.  On the way I did my good deed for the day and organised a rescue boat for a Flying Ant that had broken its rudder.  Only a couple of crew up at PT Walter - a fair bit of snotty weed but some good gusts.  RS Slalom Mk II 6.7.

Hour mission at Hardies. Manta 64, Talon 34, KA Koncept 6.4.

A little bit gusty but otherwise a good day for hours. Hit bottom and got weed on the Talon on the third far side gybe and had to stop and clear. Bugger!!!

Norts backing up, perhaps Ado too.

escaped from a bbq at ours for a latish start at Melville. Tried the JP49 7m and ka23s. A bit underfinned, but needed the rake to avoid catastrophy with ropes of weed over the sand bar. Got one nice gust for a 40.6 on the dial but it was really peaky and got culled on the 2 sec... probably a spike. Next best runs were 38s. Went to Pt walter for a few runs but felt Melville was faster so missioned back before the wind got too patchy.

Quick hr mission at Hardies with the Capitain

Had planned to get down to Hardies and bust out an hour for the team today, but lunch commitments in Rockingham dragged on, so I just managed a quick half hour after 6pm at Safety Bay in around 18-20.

I hadn't sailed there for years and it's a bit of fun cruising out to the islands, but it's also choked with weed, and there's a kiter infestation problem. I give it 6/10.

Well done to the boys for getting us the hour / NM numbers we needed to knock those Dutch down a peg!

Manta 49, Warp 6.3, KA/Lockwood 23.

Nice going on the PB there John - great stuff. Just what the doctor ordered!

Nice speeds at Walter too Paul - I think you need to put a tuttle box in that thing - if the tail is thick enough to take it!! Great to see a 24/25 year old board still ripping!! Tom would be proud!!

Thats the board in the avatar right??

well done guys, nice numbers! i was up in greehead wavesailing instead.. i was surprized how flat sme of the water on the inside of the bay was...might take speed board next time.. highlight of the tripo was that i did my first forward loop and was getting pretty close to landing the backies as well... forward was 3/4 of the way around according to reliable witnesses. yeuw!
