LOCATION:  ANGLING CLUB

WIND:   SW- 20- kts up to 25-28 kts

SAILORS:  EJ

GEAR:  Excite Ride 130, NP EXPRESSION 5.2, 32 cm fin

DESCRIPTION:  Awesome day on the Inlet.  Once the tide went out it was like the speed strip of old.  Great long runs on flat water and only two of us out!!!

I got my peak moments before introducing my fin to the "hump"- the spit that sticks out about 20 metres off the run.  I had been running over it no dramas all day but the tide had backed out enough for me to hit the bottom.

Certainly worth taking the day off and driving down to Inverloch. Perfect conditions. Great session with Mick.

Kode94, Select FreestyleWave 25cm fin and Ezzy 5.5m Wave and then 4.7m Panther.

Cheers all!

Jerry - It's actually the next size up in the Kode from mine (I have the Kode86). I borrowed the demo board from rps for the weekend/monday as I wanted to see how an extra 10 litres felt Smile

Next stop with the Kode 94 will be some bump and jump. RPS may do the demo one at good price. I hear the new ones maybe very flashy in colours. Something to watch out for.

Thanks guys...

Hey great PB...geez the numbers are close..I still reckon you looked quicker (and more in control) on the starboard tack...

Kato - unfortunately theres no footage of modifying a marine environment but I cant see any harm in re claiming the existing speed strip.

Pete...I'd like to say yes I am gybing consistantly well but in all honesty I reckon it was one of my early run in the chop and probably only one of two that I nailed for the whole day!

Mick - yep, Starboard tack was quicker. 1/3 of the way down the bar seemed to be the "quick" spot for me which I thought actually felt slowest.

Congrats on the PBs guys, great row of PBs, I was contemplating making it two days down there, but work (and wifey) were calling.

Mick, so close to the 30 kts club and what an improvement from Sunday!

Guys, looks like this Sunday could be good windy day. Hopefully not too windy for the new starters in the morning and more for us in the afternoon.

Also who is coming to the Windsurfing film night. Evan and I will be there. It would be good to get most of the Southerly Busters there too for a night.

On 28th May I'm overseas in Europe (if the volcano finally stops spewing out that stuff).

Had to give the wife some attention in prep for this WINDY long weekend. Wink I'm still working on cutting down the video footage, it's way to long, but have already extracted two short ones with Steve and Adam. Will forward the link tonight (Youtube is blocked at work).

Cheers Jak, will take a look at those in a sec.

Probably heading to Inverloch Sunday if it stays SW. Maybe ther bay Saturday afternoon.

Thinking Saturday locally, probably Ricketts Sth if it stays westerly and Sunday Inverloch, at this stage it should be still SW around 20+ knts and  low tide is around 1pm. May be busy though due to the SHQ function. If the weather gods are kind we may be blessed and can squeeze a sail in on Monday again, guess locally again.Looks northerly at this stage so perhaps Green Point (haven't sailed there since my 'rescue').
