Great afternoon session once the easterly kicked in. Been a few weeks so good to get out again. Good sail with Windrider, Old Salty, George, Andrew, Simon and others.

Area 45 - ENE in the morning 12 - 15 kts low tide.  Angle was not quite right to line up sand banks.  Afternoon 15 kts plus.  Good to see a lot of the Busters there and meet George.  Was a bit of fun but no big speeds for me

Great to see a few of the boys chasing the NM

Guys well done on the PBs.

The day started of very down than up from the ENE. Then the easterly kicked in. I stuck to the 7.5m on the 111, the chop at either end of the runs was bit much for the board. Like to try it on a low tide for top speed. A good day with some of the Southerly Busters. Thanks to Simon for lending his 7.2m RSS to George.

LOCATION:  PAYNESVILLE

GEAR:  JP EXCITE RIDE, NP EXCESS 6.9, 52 cm FIN DOWN to 42 CM FIN

DESCRIPTION:  Holy Moly!

Took the big board away with me and the family just thinking it might be good to putt around.!!

The East- South East kicked in at about 10 am yesterday and kept building!.

Found a spot and the end of the Straits where there was a bit of protection on the lee shore.  Good flat blasting but then once you got further out..it was utter mayhem...- a crazy chop and swell which came from about 4 different directions.

The runs back in were superb- flying over the back of two foot chops...taking the drop then flying over the next wave.

The fastest part of the course was the end of the run where the water flattenned off but it was risky as there was a shoal about 10 metres off the bank.

Still I reckon if there was more South in the wind, this spot could be sensational

Congrats on all the PB guys, well done guys. Looks like it was a good afternoon afterall.

Funny about the easterly, it always seems to kick in later in the day.

Here's my tracks from Paynesville.

I'm thinking we might need a weekend away to explore!

Please take note of those fantastic "splats" where the track appears to go at right angles to the direction of travel.  I'd  like to think they

were unexplained spikes but they were more than likely out of controll jumps and stacks!!Laughing
