Ads (5802km): 20-30knts Southerly Taren Point.
JP 65 Slalom VI, JP Slalom III G10 36, NP RSSmkIII 6.2
First time on the speed strip this arvo, with Sam Parker and Leo. A little disconcerting trying to work out where the shallow spots were & not entirely comfortable for the first half of the session. Settled in in the end once I'd worked out a few tuning issues. A real buzz though.

conan (7831km): sandringham speed strip 20- 10 kts s-se, got there as the wind was easing still had a few good runs 67 manta, 6.5 vapor, 31 select fin. good to see a few other cockroaches out ripping up the speed strip!!!!!
Tim Ford (6467km): Quick Session at Sandringham, S - SE 20 -25. Did not see anyone else out when I got there so did not go over the bridge to the other side as I wasnted to get on the water. Was having a great time hooning about, bearing away in the gusts etc. Saw Wayne out on the strip and started heading up that way but my adjustable outhaul pooed itself and I needed to head back in. Did my top speed on the Eastern side of the channel in the flatish water. JP Xcite 110, NP Hellcat 5.7, Mean Lines 32 fin. Bloody tops to be out and fun 'riding the fin' on the Xcite.
LEO (5644km): had a two good runs down the strip ... then not sure what happened but it hurt !! knocked me about a bit had a lovely head dint in my sail !! ads n sam were loving it i only rigged 5.4 rs 6 on carbon art 50 was good the first few runs then just dropped off a bit too much for the 5.4 disappointed in my sail but was good to get wind
Sam Parker (1288km): Great to get on the water again. Will have to find better excuses to get out of work when needed. RS Racing EVO 2 6.2, JP Speed 49, C3 Venom 26 (Now shorter due to oyster coated rocks). Gusty day at Sandringham with way too much east in it to be anything but sailing in chop. Big well done to Maverick's dad for the PB (on an X-Cite Ride to boot). Sam. |
